Facial Revitalisation

Written by Alexandra Gilmartin

Facial Revitalisation is also known as Cosmetic Acupuncture, or the Acupuncture Facelift.  Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture aims to correct the signs of aging, not only from the outside, but by treating the underlying factors contributing to your aging.

For thousands of  years the people in the Far East have known that beauty comes from the inside out and that for a person to look their best they must radiate health.  The Chinese discovered and utilised ways to change the energy flow within the body to initiate the healing process for rejuvenation and revitalisation.  They knew that many meridians either begin or end on the face and some have internal branches that go to the face.

The treatment involves insertion of hair-thin needles (much finer than we would use for normal body treatment) into areas of the face, ears, neck, hands, body and legs along the meridians.  Specific points are chosen to manipulate the movement of energy according to the patient’s individual needs.
